ACCESSIBILITY & AURORA
AURORA INFRA ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT
Effective date: March 7, 2026 Last reviewed: March 7, 2026
1. Our Commitment
Aurora Infrastructure Inc. is committed to ensuring that its website is accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. We believe that the internet should be available and accessible to everyone, and we are actively working to provide a website experience that is inclusive and barrier-free.
We are investing in ongoing accessibility improvements as part of our website build and will continue to review and address accessibility issues as they are identified.
2. Conformance Status
Our target standard is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
|
Current status |
Partially conformant |
|
Target standard |
WCAG 2.1 Level AA |
|
Assessment basis |
Self-assessment during active development; independent audit planned post-launch |
Partially conformant means that some content does not yet fully conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. This is because the site is currently under active development. Accessibility is integrated into the build process, and we are working to address all known gaps before and after publication.
3. Measures Taken to Support Accessibility
Aurora Infrastructure Inc. has taken the following measures to integrate accessibility into the website build:
- We selected the Power theme by maka Agency for HubSpot, a premium theme designed to prompt accessibility-conscious customisation at the stylesheet and component level.
- Accessibility criteria are applied during development and content creation, not retrospectively.
- Our target is WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance for all pages and interactive elements.
- We intend to commission a formal third-party accessibility audit upon completion of the initial site build, with findings acted on before or immediately after public launch.
- We will train content editors on accessible content practices, including use of alternative text, heading structure, and link labelling.
- HTML5
- CSS3
- JavaScript
- HubSpot CMS (Content Management System)
- Alternative text: We are ensuring all informational images include descriptive alternative text. Decorative images are being marked appropriately to be skipped by screen readers.
- Form accessibility: All form fields and interactive elements are being reviewed for correct ARIA labels, clear error messaging, and full keyboard operability.
- Colour contrast: We are verifying that all text and interactive components meet the minimum contrast ratios required under WCAG 2.1 AA (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text and UI components).
- Third-party content: Certain third-party elements (such as HubSpot embedded forms and chat widgets) are outside our direct control. We will work within available customisation options to improve their accessibility.
- Upon completion of the initial site build and before public launch;
- Following any formal accessibility audit;
- At least annually thereafter;
- Whenever significant new content or functionality is added to the site.
